halacha studies program
A unique program for Halacha studies, headed by Rachel Keren and hold in cooperation with the Ma’aleh Gilboa Yeshiva.
The program is addressing the community of erudite women who wish to deepen their studies in the Gmara and Halacha and become part in the religious leadership of the Jewish people. The vision of the program: studies towards rabbinic ordination exams, and training of women to become halachic teachers in Israel.
In this program the students are a group of women, experienced teachers of the Oral Law and Judaism, having a significant background in the study of Talmud and Halacha. Some of them have already been examined in a number of halachic rulings tests by leading rabbis and by Chief Rabbinate exams.
To this day, the laws of Issur Veheiter , hagim and niddah have been taught in the Beit Midrash.
In the year 5779 the laws of kiddushin and tefilla , will be taught, led by Rabbi Binyamin Holtzman.
In the year 5780-5781 the laws of Shabbat will be studied.
Classes are held every Sunday from 9:00 to 15:00.
The students are required to spend additional study time in their home.
At the end of the studies, they will subjected to a test similar in scope and content to the certification exam of the Chief Rabbinate, in addition they will be examined orally by Rabbi David Bigman and other rabbis.
