The style and method of study in the Beit Midrash of Midreshet Ein HaNatziv
The curriculum of the Midrasha is rich and diversified and includes five main learning worlds: Bible, Talmud and rabbinical literature, Halacha, Jewish philosophy, and Hasidism.
The studies in the Midrasha combine three learning styles:
Traditional style – understanding the halachic and conceptual significance of the subjects studied.
Academic style – tracing the different layers of the texts and understanding the historical and social contexts reflected in them.
Inner existential style – focusing on the spiritual and existential content of each subject, and on its link to the personal life of the students.
We believe that the integration of these approaches in the variety of subjects studied is the key to identity formation of each student as a part of the religious world and Judaism, here in the Land of Israel.
